Make yourself a ZOO at home and record a video. New option for AR objects in Google Search

Are you bored while working remotely from home? Three minutes of your time will be effectively killed by the option of viewing 3D objects overlaid on the image of our surroundings and the ability to record video clips.

Google has been placing 3D objects in the search results area of selected terms for some time now. Most often they concern animals that are easy to represent by means of a model. Usually, it cannot be too large an object – we will not look at the giraffe representation in this way 😉

Make a video with a parlor lion

See  what it looks like in life size  has always allowed you to take a picture of an object. In this way, it was possible to get funny photos of animals that blended into our reality.

However, Google decided to make a slight update to this feature, allowing users to take videos. It’s so much cooler that the 3D models you find in Google search are not static. Each of them has a more or less complex set of animations and sounds that are only possible to capture on film.

Of course, having an Android phone, you can usually use the screen recording function in such a situation, which is often part of the system overlay. However, not in Pixels, where Android is clean  and there are no such additions. iOS users have long been able to record videos using the system’s integrated  AR Quick Look feature.

Not everyone has yet received the ability to record animals in 3D. My  Pixel 3a  has not yet received the appropriate update – it is to be released gradually.
